Job summary

HHM Hotels is seeking a Security Officer for The Rittenhouse Hotel in downtown Philadelphia. You will patrol designated areas, respond to disturbances, log activities, and protect guests and staff with discretion and professionalism.

This role emphasizes guest service, safety compliance, incident reporting, and collaboration with hotel management. Prior security experience is preferred, with CPR/First Aid a plus; typical schedules include holidays and weekends.

Qualifications

• HighSchool diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Prior security experience is desirable.
• CPR/First Aid preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patrol designated hotel areas.
• Respond to disturbances and emergencies.
• Maintain a daily activity log.
• Maintain confidentiality with respect to guest and employee incidents.
• Prepare incident reports and communicate with hotel management.
• Access secured areas for authorized personnel.
• Complete incident/accident reports clearly.
• Escort guests to rooms or assist with entry.
• Support guest satisfaction goals and service levels.
• Follow HHM EarthView sustainability guidelines.
• Practice safe work habits according to MSDS and OSHA standards.
• Monitor TV cameras, if applicable.
• Perform bell person tasks and assist guests with luggage.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

Your Focus

• Patrol designated hotel areas.
• Respond to disturbances and emergency situations.
• Maintain a daily activity log.
• Maintain confidentiality with respect to guest and employee incidents.
• Prepare incident reports and other reports and communicate all related information to hotel management.
• Access secured areas for authorized personnel.
• Complete incident/accident reports in a clear and concise manner.
• Escort guests to their rooms or assist guest’s w/entry into their rooms according to hotel standards.
• Be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work toward increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction.
• Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM’s EarthView program.
• Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
• Monitor TV cameras, if applicable.
• Perform bell person tasks and assist guests with luggage.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

Your Background and Skills
