Job summary

Providence Willamette Falls Medical Center is seeking a Security Officer to join our night shift team. You will monitor facilities, respond to incidents, escort patients and staff when needed, and help protect patients, visitors, and assets across the campus.

Under the direction of the Security Manager, you will perform vehicle and foot patrols, enforce policies, and assist in safety protocols. Oregon licensure requirements apply; prior security or law enforcement experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Oregon Private Security license requirements on hire: Armed or Unarmed Professional.
• On hire: Oregon Private Security Unarmed Professional license.
• On hire: Private Security Temporary Work Permit PS-20.
• Driving may be necessary; provide valid driver license and auto insurance on request.
• 1 year of experience using personal computer with MS Office applications.

• Receives general direction from Security Manager, Supervisor, or Lead Security Officer.
• Perform security duties to protect patients, visitors, staff, physicians, property and facilities.
• Conduct vehicle and foot patrols, respond to alarms and nuisance calls, and assist in training clinic personnel.

Security Officer at Providence Willamette Falls Medical Center- Full-Time, Nights Schedule

Receives general direction from the Security Manager, Supervisor or Lead Security Officer, performs a variety of security protective duties to protect patients, visitors, staff, physicians, property and facilities from accidents, bodily harm, fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry. Enforces PH&S, facility and security policies and regulations. Investigate reports of potential criminal conduct against PH&S staff, visitors, staff, and property; respond and assist in restraining patients; detain individuals when necessary or at the direction of a police officer; and provide protective services to high‑risk areas. Mobile positions will conduct vehicle and foot patrols, patient transports, site surveys, threat assessments, patient standbys, alarm/nuisance call response, special details and assist in training of clinic personnel. May be required to support any Providence or affiliated organizations within the Oregon Region.

Required Qualifications:

• Upon hire: Oregon Private Security Armed/Unarmed Professional - Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training, or
• Upon hire: Oregon Private Security Unarmed Professional - Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training
• Upon hire: Private Security Temporary Work Permit PS-20
• Upon request: Driving may be necessary as part of this role. Caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving. Caregivers will be expected to provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request. See policy for additional information.
• 1 year of experience using personal computer with standard Microsoft applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training: College level coursework in professionally related fields such as criminal justice, social work, psychology or any social science.
• H.S. Diploma or GED
• 1 year of Security/law enforcement experience such as corrections,
