Job summary

Omni-Serv is seeking Security Officers to join our team at JFK Terminal 4 (JFKIAT). In this role you will maintain a safe environment, enforce access control, protect terminal property, and provide professional customer service to passengers and staff.

You will monitor for suspicious activity, respond to alarms, assist with crowd control, and follow JFKIAT procedures. Must have NYS Security Guard License and relevant certifications; minimum 1 year security experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in access control and security screening.
• Valid New York State Security Guard License.
• First Aid, CPR/AED, and Fire Guard certifications (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional and customer-focused demeanor.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume, customer-facing environment.
• Strong situational awareness with the ability to remain calm and responsive during emergencies.

We are seeking Security Officers to join our team at JFK Terminal 4, JFKIAT.

Compensation: $21.50 per hour, plus paid health benefits

Position Summary

In this role, you will maintain a safe and secure environment, enforce access control procedures, protect terminal property, and support passenger and employee safety. Officers must remain vigilant, uphold post integrity, and provide professional customer service at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor areas for suspicious activity, theft, or unsafe conditions
• Conduct routine and random security inspections
• Respond quickly to alarms and incidents
• Assist with crowd control and keep pathways clear
• Report safety, security, or maintenance concernsMaintain professional appearance and communication standards
• Follow all JFKIAT procedures and SOPs

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in access control and security screening required; airport, terminal, or transportation security experience preferred
• Valid New York State Security Guard License
• First Aid, CPR/AED, and Fire Guard certifications (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire)

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
• Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach as needed to perform assigned duties
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 30 pounds unassisted
• Must be capable of working in both indoor and outdoor environments, as operational needs require
