Job summary

Omni-Serv at JFK Terminal 4 is seeking Security Officers to maintain a safe and secure environment, enforce access control, protect terminal property, and support passenger and employee safety.

You will remain vigilant, uphold post integrity, and provide professional customer service at all times, following JFKIAT procedures and SOPs while coordinating with the operations team. This position requires relevant licenses and certifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in access control and security screening.
• Valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
• FDNYC Certificate of Fitness F-03 is required.
• First Aid, CPR/AED, and Fire Guard certifications (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional and customer-focused demeanor.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume, customer-facing environment.
• Strong situational awareness and calmness in emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Monitor areas for suspicious activity, theft, or unsafe conditions.
• Conduct routine and random security inspections.
• Respond quickly to alarms and incidents.
• Assist with crowd control and keep pathways clear.
• Report safety, security, or maintenance concerns.
• Maintain professional appearance and communication standards.

We are seeking Security Officers to join our team at JFK Terminal 4, JFKIAT.

Compensation

• $21.50 per hour

Position Summary

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in access control and security screening required; airport, terminal, or transportation security experience preferred
• Valid New York State Security Guard License

• First Aid, CPR/AED, and Fire Guard certifications (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional and customer-focused demeanor
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume, customer-facing environment
• Strong situational awareness with the ability to remain calm and responsive during emergencies

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
• Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach as needed to perform assigned duties
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 30 pounds unassisted
• Must be capable of working in both indoor and outdoor environments, as operational needs require
