Job summary

Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox, IL is seeking a Security Officer to ensure the safety of patients, visitors, staff and property during night shifts. You will patrol facilities, monitor access control and respond to incidents with the Public Safety team.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid IL driver’s license, and at least 21 years old. Prior security experience and CPR/defensive tactics skills are preferred, with pay ranging from $17.99 to $22.48 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Valid IL Driver's License.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• One year security experience, or equivalent, required within the past 3 years.
• Defensive Tactics, ASP Baton, Pepper Spray, Restraint, CPR, typing/computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the safety and security of the hospital buildings, property, patients, visitors, and staff.
• Maintain order and respond to incidents during night shifts.
• Coordinate with Public Safety for emergencies and routine patrols.
