Calder Casino in Miami Gardens, FL is seeking a Security Officer to help safeguard guests and staff while contributing to a dynamic entertainment environment. You will observe, report, and respond to incidents, assisting in movement control and access management across the facility.

We value clear communication, teamwork, and a strong sense of responsibility; prior security or gaming industry exposure is a plus. Various shifts available with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
• Ability to obtain a valid gaming license.
• Strong observation and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and security of employees and customers.
• Transport money and chips as needed.
• Control access to restricted areas and monitor activity.
• Respond to incidents and accidents with prompt reporting.
• Monitor patron and employee movement in the casino.
• Identify safety hazards and report them.
• Answer calls and assist patrons as needed.
• Operate company vehicle or equipment requiring a valid license.

JOB SUMMARY

Calder Casino is a fun place to work! As a Security Officer you play a vital role in ensuring the safety of our Team Calder and guests, observing and reporting any suspicious activities. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure the safety and security of employees and customers.
• Assisting in transporting money and chips.
• Controlling access to restricted areas.
• Reacting to patron and employee incidents and accidents.
• Monitoring patron and employee passage in and out of casino.
• Responsible for checking for and reporting safety hazards.
• May answer incoming calls to the facility and direct calls or answer patron questions.
• May be asked to operate a company vehicle and/or equipment that require a valid Driver’s License.
• Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Maintain interpersonal working relationships among all personnel.
• Oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of the Emergency Disaster Plan Manual.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
• Ability to obtain a valid gaming license.
