Job summary

Securitas Security Services USA, Inc. is seeking a Security Officer for a full-time role at the Forest City, IA location.

The position involves maintaining a safe environment by monitoring premises, enforcing client site regulations, and performing patrols with professional conduct. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong customer service, leadership, and the ability to work independently under pressure, with attention to detail and reliable judgment in emergencies.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor premises and enforce regulations for client sites pertaining to personnel, visitors, and area.
• Carry out post orders, patrol rounds, and provide customer service to employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues or suspicious activity.
• Utilize security technology devices during shift and conduct property tours.
• Respond to emergencies with appropriate escalation as needed.

Security Officer - Full Time

Primary Location: Forest City, IA

Wage: $18.50/HR

The Security Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including access control and patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for our client sites pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.

What You Can Expect

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity.
• Ensure that all post orders are followed and assigned rounds are completed.
• Provide customer service and information to the client’s employees and guests.
• Utilizing technology devices throughout shift.
• Conduct tours of the property.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.

Basic Requirements

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience a plus.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.

• Must have a professional demeanor.
