Job summary

Marksman Security LLC is seeking a dependable Security Officer for a full-time 3rd shift at the Toyota Motors North America PDC site in Kansas City, MO. Salary is $19.00 per hour with Friday through Sunday off, and quarterly attendance bonuses for reliability.

The role includes gatehouse access control, front desk duties, visitor management, CCTV monitoring, and site patrol. We offer a professional, accountable environment with growth opportunities for motivated individuals.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
• High school degree or equivalent.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must have a valid State security license.
• Basic computer skills.
• Minimum of one year of customer service or security experience.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment screening (background and drug).
• This position requires physical mobility for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Acknowledge and greet all residents and guests in a prompt and courteous manner.
• Manage all guest/visitor access and eject trespassers when necessary.
• Verify credentials of incoming and outgoing individuals/vehicles.
• Document and maintain a log of visitors and notify residents of arrivals.
• Assist in protecting others and equipment while enforcing policies and procedures.
• Monitor and detect suspicious behavior to prevent vandalism, theft, or other crimes.
• Monitor surveillance cameras and alarms.
• Patrol the perimeter (interior/exterior) to identify safety risks.
• Warn violators of infractions and ensure compliance with rules.
• Respond to distress calls, alarms, or emergencies by contacting responders.
• Identify and report safety or security concerns promptly.
• Ensure accurate submission of required documentation (reports).
• Support management in enforcing all site rules and regulations.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

What You'll Do

• Gatehouse — Access control; greet and ID residents/guests, log vehicles, announce visitors

• Verify credentials of incoming and outgoing individuals/vehicles
• Document and maintain a log of visitors and notify residents of visitor’s arrival
• Assist in protecting others and equipment while enforcing policies and procedures
• Monitor and or detect any suspicious behavior to assist in the prevention of vandalism, theft and or other criminal behavior
• Monitor surveillance cameras and alarms
• Patrol the perimeter (interior/exterior) to identify potential safety and security risks
• Warn violators of infractions e.g., loitering, smoking and or in possession of prohibited items
• Respond to calls of distress, alarms and or emergencies such as fire, injuries or presence of unauthorized individuals by contacting local first responders
• Identify and report any and all concerns (safety, security breaches, unusual circumstances) in a timely manner
• Ensures accuracy and timely submission of required documentation (reports/documents)
• Ensure all rules/regulations are being enforced and followed
• Other duties to be determined by management

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 21 years of age or older
• High school degree or equivalent
• Professional demeanor and appearance
• Must have a valid drivers license
• Must have a valid State security license
• Basic computer skills
• Must be able to multitask and prioritize assigned tasks
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Minimum of one year of customer service experience OR one year of security experience
• Must be able to pass pre-employment screening (background and drug)
• This position will require occasional crawling, crouching, climbing of stairs, kneeling, running, sitting, standing, stooping and walking for extended periods of time
