We are hiring for multiple Security Officer opportunities. This posting is for multiple openings of Security Officer with Covenant Health in Lubbock, TX.

Available Job Types: Full Time

Available Shifts: Evening, Night, Day

Please note that this position is onsite and therefore requires the ability to commute to Covenant Health hospitals/facilities in Lubbock, TX.

Under general supervision, patrols assigned areas of the CHS campus to deter, detect and investigate crime and/or any suspicious activity, which could cause harm to individuals or property. Provides information and assistance to patients, employees and visitors. Writes detailed incident reports, and various other reports as required. Takes and maintains control of disruptive individuals for arrest by Lubbock Police Department, when situations warrant this action. Primary emphasis is placed on the safety of the individual and loss prevention. After completion of classroom and practical instructions, will at all times while on duty carry Department issued handcuffs and non-lethal device.

Required Qualifications

• Texas Non-Commissioned Security Officer - Texas Private Security Board - Texas Department of Public Safety within 30 days of hire
• 1 year of Security, Law Enforcement, Military, or Police experience, preferably within a hospital or campus environment
• Upon request: Driving may be necessary as part of this role. Caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving. Caregivers will be expected to provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request.
