Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer in Huntsville, AL to serve clients across Aero/Defense sectors. You will conduct unarmed patrols, maintain a visible security presence, and support access control and reporting while delivering professional customer service.

The role requires a DoD Secret clearance, a high school diploma or equivalent, and compliance with background checks and drug screening. Full-time schedule with day and night shifts is available.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at a aerospace/defense location by following site procedures and security policies.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and document visitor activity per site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and escalate through reporting channels.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, restricted access areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Prepare incident reports, daily logs, and other required documentation and assist with emergency response when needed.

As a Security Officer in Huntsville, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at an aerospace and defense location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access-control and reporting activities. You will provide professional customer service and clear communication while contributing to a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team that works with integrity.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at an aerospace and defense business location by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established reporting channels.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, restricted-access areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation while supporting emergency response activities as appropriate.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess an active DoD Secret clearance.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
