Qualifications

  • Nevada driver's license.
  • BLS certification within 90 days.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to calls for assistance in a timely and prudent manner.
  • Patrol facility and grounds by foot or vehicle; monitor alarms; dispatch officers as needed.
  • Investigate security breaches and write incident reports.
  • Log daily activities and produce clear, concise reports; use emergency radio codes.
  • Protect staff, patients and visitors and uphold hospital values.

Job Summary And Responsibilities

As our Security Officer, you will maintain the highest level of safety and security by patrolling assigned areas, diligently deterring, detecting, and investigating suspicious activity or crime.

Every day you will effectively monitor electronic surveillance equipment and hospital emergency systems, dispatch appropriate personnel via radio, and actively patrol to protect individuals and property, all while embodying our core values and supporting strategic quality improvement.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate exceptional vigilance, strong observational skills, proficiency in electronic surveillance and dispatch systems, and a commitment to protecting our community while upholding our organizational values and contributing to a secure environment.

  • Protecting staff, patients, and visitors by responds to calls for assistance in a timely and prudent manner to incidents such as violent or unruly patients, visitors, crimes committed or in progress, opening doors, and responding to emergency codes.
  • Patrol the facility and grounds by foot or vehicle; monitor security alarms and dispatch officers promptly to location(s) where needed; and report un-safe acts or conditions.
  • Knowledge of emergency procedures, equipment, supplies, reports HIPPA breaches if witnessed; investigate security breaches, conduct follow-up investigations, and write incident reports.
  • Log all activities in daily log to accurately record events; and (2) complete clear, concise, and legible reports in a timely manner; use appropriate emergency and radio codes in dispatching security officers while knowing hospital campus to ensure that dispatches are to right location.

Job Requirements
Required
  • High School Graduate General Studies, or High School GED General Studies
  • Three (3) years experience as a security officer and
  • Six (6) months experience as securit yofficer in a hospital or healthcare setting, prior law enforcement or military service; or one (1) year experience as a security officer.
  • Driver's License:Nevada
  • BLS-American Heart Association, within 90 Days
Preferred
  • Basic Health Care Security Officer, within 90 Days
