Job summary

The Center for Discovery is seeking a Security Officer in Harris, NY to provide agency-wide safety and security coverage by enforcing vehicle traffic policies. This role will act as a liaison with local law enforcement and security agencies, respond to agency related emergencies, monitor the communication network and conduct safety inspections.

Position requires flexibility to attend special events. Must be able to work an extremely flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays,

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21, have a NYS Driver license and a NYS Security License.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be able to work weekends, nights, and holidays and have open availability during initial training (up to six months).

Responsibilities

• Provide agency-wide safety and security coverage and enforce vehicle traffic policies.

Position requires flexibility to attend special events.
