Securitas USA is hiring Security Officers and Flex Officers for full-time and part-time roles in the Sauget, IL area. You will support client sites, perform rounds, and respond to incidents while upholding our core values of integrity, vigilance, and helpfulness.

Candidates must pass pre-employment screening, including drug testing and background checks; a valid driver's license is required, with reliable transportation to assigned sites.

Qualificações

• Must be at least 18 years old and eligible for an Illinois PERC Security Officer License.
• High School Diploma or GED required; above-average computer skills preferred.
• Ability to pass pre-employment screening including drug test and background check.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record; reliable transportation.

Wage Range: $17.50-$18.71/HR

Current Schedules

Current open schedule will include weekends & major holidays.

Security Officer Schedules

Majority of shifts will be 2nd shift (2PM – 10PM) and/or 3rd shift (10PM – 6AM).

Flex Officer Schedules

Schedules will consist of filling in for call-offs, covering requested days off, vacation requests, and extra coverage for special assignments. Majority of these shifts will be 2nd shift (2PM – 10PM) and/or 3rd shift (10PM – 6AM).

What You Can Expect

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity.
• Ensure that all post orders are followed and assigned rounds are completed..
• Provide customer service and information to the client’s employees and guests.
• Utilizing technology devices throughout shift.
• Conduct tours of the property (this position can be up to 75% to 80% of the time outside in various weather conditions except lightning, hail, and tornado).
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.

Basic Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age to qualify for an Illinois PERC Security Officer License.
• Minimum of a High School Diploma, GED, or willing to complete a GED program.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience a plus.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
• Must be able to walk on uneven terrain and walk up / down flights of stairs / ladders (this position is about 75% to 80% standing / walking).
• Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record needed (all of our positions need to be driver certified).
• Must have reliable transportation (public transportation is not available at most work site locations).
• Must have reliable means of communication device (cell phone).
• Must have the legal right to work in the United States.
• Must have the ability to speak, read, and write English.
• Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills a plus.
