David C Cook is a nonprofit organization committed to sharing hope and faith through literature, music, and educational resources. As a Security Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety of our staff, tenants, visitors, and assets.

What You’ll Do:

• Monitor and patrol premises, providing a visible deterrence against security threats

• Respond swiftly to emergency and non-emergency situations

• Maintain security protocols and enforce company procedures

• Investigate suspicious incidents and maintain detailed security reports

• Collaborate with law enforcement, emergency services, and internal teams when needed

• Provide excellent communication and support to employees and guests

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice or Security preferred

• Experience: 3-5 years in Law Enforcement, Security, or a related field

• Certification: CPR/AED and first aid certification; valid Colorado Driver’s License required

• Skills: Strong decision-making, perceptive awareness, and sound judgment in high-pressure situations

• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, run, climb, and lift up to 80 lbs; must be capable of handling emergency situations effectively

• Additional Requirements: Must be 21 years old and a U.S. citizen; ability to obtain and maintain a Concealed Carry Weapons (CCW) permit

Work Environment:

• Active security duties performed on foot and in a motor vehicle

• Exposure to inclement weather and potentially hazardous situations

• May require overtime, weekend, holiday, and rotating shifts on short notice
