Job summary

GDI Integrated Facility Services is seeking a security guard in Charlotte, NC. The shift runs 6:00am-2:30pm, requiring vigilance to prevent theft, monitor facilities, and respond to incidents. You will prepare detailed reports, review them for accuracy, and communicate findings clearly while operating security equipment.

The role emphasizes teamwork, attentiveness to grooming standards, and the ability to walk patrol routes while maintaining readiness to engage emergency responders when needed.

Qualifications

• Previous security-related experience preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with security equipment.
• Ability to handle a light physical workload and patrol.
• Strong attention to detail.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Maintain grooming standards.

Responsibilities

• Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules.
• Fill out reports with high level of detail.
• Review reports and communicate effectively.
• Proficient with computer.
• Thoroughly examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper function and security.
• Warn violators of premise rules and regulations.
• Report any facility issues such as fire hazards and leaking water pipes.
• Request emergency personnel for high-risk situations.
• Use the provided software to annotate events that occur during shift.
• Make regular trips around the property and scan the pre-determined points as directed by management.
• Work as part of a team.
• Perform other assigned duties.

• Meet and continuously maintain grooming standards.
