Lehigh Valley Health Network, Inc. is seeking a Security Officer for the Night Shift at our Allentown campus. This full-time position protects staff, patients, visitors and property while coordinating with emergency codes and maintaining a secure hospital environment.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and security-related experience, with 1800-0600 hours and weekend/holiday rotations. Training covers LVHN protocols, access control and safety procedures to support uninterrupted

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year security, law enforcement, corrections or military experience.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and make critical decisions.
• Knowledge of LVHN Emergency codes and response protocols.
• Ability to troubleshoot access control and alarm systems.
• DL - Driver's License PA required upon hire.
• BLS (American Heart Association) within 90 days; CHSO and BCCM certifications within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Protects and provides a safe environment for staff, patients, visitors and property.
• Intervenes when suspicious behavior; stops, questions and detains persons when reasonable suspicion exists.
• Conducts internal and external patrols of hospital, clinic, parking lots and grounds; reports hazards.
• Maintains and operates vehicles and shuttles in a safe manner.
• Responds to all coded alarms and provides security escorts when requested.
• Assists with evacuations in emergency situations requiring strength and flexibility.
• Maintains high visibility to deter undesired activity and provide assistance as needed.
