Job summary

Hudson Regional Hospital is seeking a Per Diem Security Officer for the evening shift at the Hoboken campus. You will help protect people and property with 24-hour security coverage and support for hospital operations.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma, a NJ driver’s license, and security experience; SORA license is preferred. Prior hospital security experience is a plus, with attention to detail and teamwork essential.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• SORA license preferred; valid NJ driver’s license required.
• Relevant work experience in security, preferably in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Reports doors left open after hours or unattended offices.
• Directs visitors and vendors to correct locations and distributes passes.
• Conducts security rounds to identify safety violations.
• Reports hazardous conditions to responsible departments.
• Monitors cameras and alarms at command posts.
• Investigates police-type incident reports.

What You'll Be Doing

Ensures the protection of persons and property from harm as a result of acts of violations of laws, policy, procedures or regulatory requirements. Provides safety and security 24 hours a day.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Reports all doors that are left open after hours or unattended offices
• Directs visitors, patients, vendors to correct locations; distributes passes
• Conducts security rounds for safety violations
• Reports all hazardous conditions to the proper departments
• Monitors cameras / alarms at command posts
• Investigates all (police type) incident reports

What We're Looking For

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• SORA license preferred.
• Valid NJ driver's license required.
• Relevant work experience as Security required. Hospital setting experience preferred
