Responsibilities

Summary: This role manages security activities during a specific shift at a residential re-entry center, leading staff to ensure proper security coverage.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Follow post orders specific to your assigned post.
• Conduct resident counts.
• Lead and evaluate staff performance, train new employees, address issues, develop schedules, and manage post assignments.
• Report suspicious activities or absences.
• Maintain logs and monitor facility security.
• Assist in staffing and participate in staff evaluations.
• Coordinate staff training and ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Handle emergencies and conduct inspections to maintain standards.
• Engage in surveillance and physical security checks.
• React effectively to disruptive or emergency situations.
• Complete ongoing training and adhere to company policies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year as a Monitor I or 2 years relevant experience; leadership experience preferred.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Knowledge of community correctional operations and regulations.
• Ability to write clear reports in English.
• Skills in planning, motivating, controlling, scheduling, training, and emergency response.
• Flexibility to work any shift.
• Proficiency with computers and relevant software.
