Job description

This is an exciting opportunity to work for one of the top law firms in the U.S.! Davis Wright Tremaine LLP is looking for a Security Manager to join our team in our Seattle office. This is an essential position that will require five day in-office.
The Security Manager is responsible for overseeing all security operations in the Seattle office. This role ensures a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, and property by managing a team of security personnel, implementing protocols, and liaising with law enforcement and emergency services when necessary.

On a typical day you will:
  • Supervise daily security operations and personnel at the Seattle office
  • Develop and enforce site-specific and VIP security procedures and emergency response plans
  • Monitor surveillance systems and conduct regular inspections of the premises
  • Coordinate with building security, external law enforcement, and emergency responders
  • Investigate security incidents and prepare detailed incident reports
  • Schedule shifts, delegate duties, and ensure adequate coverage at all times
  • Inventory, maintain, deploy, and secure firearms
  • Train new security staff and provide ongoing coaching and performance evaluations
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal security regulations
  • Maintain detailed records and documentation of incidents, patrols, and other relevant activities
  • Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and disturbances

  • Experience in training physical security professionals is a plus
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Familiarity with security equipment and surveillance systems
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in high-stress situations
  • Firearm certifications and appropriate licensing/permits
  • Valid security license and certifications as required by local laws
  • Familiarity and knowledge of MS Office products
  • CPR, AED, and First Aid certification Crisis management and de-escalation techniques
  • Proficiency with incident reporting software and security tech platforms
  • Strong multi-tasking abilities
  • Must be able to respond to emergencies at any hour, including nights and weekends

Washington State

The annualized salary range for this position in Washington is $98,000 to $110,000.Actual pay will be adjusted based on the candidate’s education, training, experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. Full time employees may be eligible for a bonus, health insurance with an optional HSA, long term disability, dental insurance, vision care, telemedicine and virtual short term solution based counseling services, life insurance, Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, subsidized backup care and caregiving resources, 401(k), vacation, sick time, 11 paid holidays each year and an employee assistance program. For full-time employees, the initial vacation benefit is 15 days per year and 11 days of sick leave per year, accrued bi-weekly. Additional voluntary programs include: voluntary accident insurance, voluntary life, voluntary disability, voluntary long term care, and pet insurance. Commuter and Transit programs are also available.
