Job summary

Community FoodBank of New Jersey is seeking a Security Manager to oversee the safety and security of CFBNJ assets, facilities, personnel, and visitors. You will implement security protocols related to confidential information storage and document handling.

This role ensures local, state, and federal regulatory compliance, schedules and trains the Security Department, and prepares internal investigation reports. You will assist in emergency management planning and periodic audits.

Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience in managing a safety and security department

Responsibilities

  • Maintain positive work attitude and provide courteous service to customers, co-workers, and managers while upholding CFBNJ's mission.
  • Ensure facilities comply with local, state, federal, and Feeding America food safety requirements.
  • Manage Security Department scheduling and training.
  • Prepare reports relating to internal investigations of losses or violations of CFBNJ regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Assist in emergency management and contingency planning.
  • Annually review and audit all security processes and procedures to ensure safety policies are maintained.
  • Conduct physical security inspections of all facilities and security equipment.

As the SecurityManageryou willoversee thesafetyandsecurityof all CFBNJabilities, assets, equipment, personnel, andvisitors. Youwillmanagesecurity protocols related to the storage ofconfidentialinformation and documents.

Whatyou’lldo in your role:
  • Maintain a positive work attitude by acting and communicating in a manner conducive to good interpersonal relations (e.g., helpful, courteous, pleasant) with customers, all public,co-workersand managers,in accordance withthe spirit of CFBNJ’s mission.
  • Ensure that all facilitiescomply withlocal, state, federal, and Feeding America food safety requirements.
  • Manage SecurityDepartmentscheduling and training.
  • Conduct andpreparesreports relating to internal investigations of any losses or violations of CFBNJ regulations,policiesand procedures.
  • Assistinpreparationof emergency management and contingency planning.
  • Annuallyreview andauditall security processes and procedures to ensure all safetypolicesaremaintained.
  • Regularly conduct physical security inspections of all facilities, including security equipment condition and operation.
  • Conduct searchesofany place on premises, including vehicles, as required by CFBNJ security policy and procedures.
  • Assistwith security issuesregardingassociates, such as procedures for terminations and violations of company policy including theft and violence situations.
  • Assistwithincidents involving public law enforcement,fireand other agencies as it relates to security at CFBNJ or CFBNJ associates.
  • Perform other duties as assigned withinthe scopeofthe position.

Whatyou’llneed to be successful in this role:
  • 5 years of experience in managing a safety and security department
  • Must havegood communicationand interpersonal skills Critical thinking to review and solve issues as they arise
  • Self-directed, able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously; ability to work under pressure
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work effectively with different departmental needs
  • Proficient data entry skills arerequired
  • Ability to work irregular hours as required by security operations with availability to work weekends as needed
  • Ability to respond to alarm/emergency situations with short notice
  • Proficiencyin Microsoft Word,Exceland Outlook.
  • Mustpossessa valid driver\'s license

Pay Transparency: The salary range for this position is $64,271-$86,955. The final rate may be influenced by factors such as the position's scope and responsibilities, work experience, training, job-related skills, internal equity, and market conditions.
