Job summary

Allied Universal, North America's leading security and facility services company, is hiring an Unarmed Patrol Officer for an overnight shift in Oceanside, CA. You will monitor access, perform patrols, and deliver courteous customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers while upholding post orders.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of security-related experience.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all laws.
• A drug screen may be required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of distribution areas, loading docks, trailer yards, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, following visitor and driver entry procedures, and reporting access-related concerns to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Document patrols, incidents, and security-related observations accurately in required logs and reports.

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
