Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is hiring a Security Associate to oversee physical, electronic, travel, and emergency security operations. You will be responsible for the security of the organization’s assets and ensuring life safety compliance.

You will work with local law enforcement, manage access controls, monitor systems, and report daily activities. This role requires strong communication, physical capability, and adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 3–4 years of related experience.
• Must meet local or national security staff certification requirements.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as required.
• Strong ability to evaluate and communicate complex content clearly.

Responsibilities

• Promote courteous service to tenants, visitors, and guests and respond to requests.
• Manage building operations, inspect grounds, control access, and monitor visitors.
• Coordinate with law enforcement on threats, investigations, and security issues.
• Monitor life safety systems and central security panels; report issues to client reps.
• Ensure daily activity reports are complete and records are accurate for next shift.
• Enforce parking regulations and report fire and safety hazards to protect people and property.
• Maintain knowledge of building, fire, and life safety codes per local and national regulations.
• Collaborate with the manager on events, incidents, or concerns and seek improvements to procedures.
