Job summary

Convergint is seeking a full-time Project Designer to design, engineer and document installed security and life-safety systems with moderate to high complexity. You will collaborate with engineers, AHJs and vendors to translate requirements into detailed drawings and submittals.

You will work within Convergint's design standards, apply drafting techniques in AutoCAD, and support project teams through meetings, site visits, and turnover.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of designing and documenting installed physical security and life safety solutions.
• Experience with drafting and project design documentation.
• Minimum 3-5 years engineering, field service or design project management.

Responsibilities

• Provides design or drawing assistance for projects during development and as-built stages.
• Works on projects with varying levels of complexity including moderately complex design projects.
• Creates engineered drawings (AutoCAD, etc.) and prepares record drawings and O&M manuals.
