Job summary

Convergint is seeking a full-time Project Designer to design, engineer and document installed physical security and life safety solutions. The role requires communicating with AHJs, vendors and team members to meet project requirements and schedule.

You will produce engineered drawings and submittals, and support design standards across projects. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of engineering or project management experience, strong AutoCAD skills, and the ability to coordinate across diverse

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years engineering, field service or project management.
• AutoCAD experience.
• NICET Level III APS for Stamping Plans preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide design or drawing assistance for projects during development and as-built stages.
• Create engineered drawings (AutoCAD, etc.) and prepare record drawings and O&M manuals.
• Review scope and electrical requirements for code compliance and AHJ requirements.
• Participate in internal design review meetings and project turnover with sales and project team.
• Prepare submittal packages and revise as required to gain approval.
