Job summary

The Hana Group in Norfolk, VA is seeking an experienced Security Lieutenant to lead a vigilant team at a historic military installation. You will manage access, patrol posts, and respond to incidents while upholding the contract and Hana’s core values.

You bring at least two years of supervisory security experience, firearms proficiency, and a commitment to discipline, safety, and exceptional customer service in a demanding environment.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum of two years in security supervision and at least 3 years as an Armed Security Officer; or honorable military service.
• Proficiency with firearms: 9mm and AR-15.

Responsibilities

• Lead with Site Manager to foster a one-team culture.
• Implement schedules developed by the Program Manager; publish and adjust schedules as needed.
• Maintain discipline and address performance violations per policy.
• Ensure officers report to work on time and manage attendance.
• Recognize performance through company programs.
• Conduct pre-shift and periodic QC inspections and support the Quality Control Program.
• Maintain situational awareness and convey emerging events.
• Inspect the work environment for hazards and enforce safety practices.
• Perform administrative tasks and prepare reports as required.
• Backfill posts during emergencies to prevent openings.
• Support Hana’s mission and adhere to ethics and standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
