Job summary

LMI is seeking a driven FSO / Security Lead to own all aspects of personnel, physical, and industrial security for a multi-site TS/SCI enterprise IT program supporting dispersed government facilities. The role includes DD Form 254 coordination, liaison with government security, and ensuring NISPOM compliance.

Based in the Washington, DC metro area with 25–50% travel, this position requires secure handling of SAP facilities and coordination with DoD/IC authorities to accelerate secure production

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of industrial or personnel security experience, including FSO responsibilities.
• Working knowledge of NISPOM and DoD/IC security requirements.
• Demonstrated experience leading or supporting large, geographically dispersed teams.
• Hands-on experience with ICD 705 SCIF facility design standards, facility accreditation, and coordination with cognizant security authorities.
• Demonstrated experience managing DD Form 254 compliance and classification guidance across DoD/IC programs.
• Direct experience supporting Special Access Program (SAP) facilities, systems, or environments.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Facility Security Officer (FSO) for the program, ensuring compliance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM).
• Manage personnel security processes, including clearance processing, briefings, and debriefings.
• Oversee physical security requirements across multiple facility locations.
• Support ICD 705 (SAP-F)-compliant SCIF facility design, accreditation roadmap development, and buildout coordination across greenfield and existing program facilities.
• Serve as the primary liaison with government security representatives and oversight agencies.
• Manage Government-issued DD Form 254 compliance and classification guidance; coordinate SCI/SAP access sponsorship and processing with cognizant security and accrediting authorities.
