Job summary

Eight Sleep invites you to join a hands-on security and IT internship, part-time (20 hours/week) working with the Security team, reporting to the Head of Security and a Security Engineer. You will own bounded projects end to end, ship them, and demo them to the engineering org.

The role emphasizes Google Workspace administration, automating tasks with Python, and writing clear security runbooks. You will use AI tools to scale work and improve processes, with overlap into US business hours.

Qualifications

Pursuing a US college/ university CS or related major.
Proficiency in Python scripting and calling APIs.
Familiarity with identity and security concepts (SSO, MFA).
Able to write and maintain runbooks and documentation.
Eligible to work in the US; part-time internship (20 hours/week).

Responsibilities

Assist Security team with Google Workspace administration, device management, and access lifecycle.
Run access reviews and automate repetitive tasks.
Remediate Vanta tests and automate evidence collection.
Triage security and IT requests during one shift per week with mentor review.
Write runbooks and triage notes for engineers or AI agents.
Leverage AI tools (Claude Code) to scale work and push toward automation.
