Security & Integrated Systems Project Manager

Design & Integration is seeking an experienced Security & Integrated Systems Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of commercial electronic security projects throughout the Baltimore region. This role is responsible for the complete project lifecycle, including estimating, pre-construction planning, budgeting, procurement, execution, commissioning, and client turnover.
The ideal candidate has a proven track record supporting or managing access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and related low-voltage systems in commercial environments. Responsibilities
- Develop project estimates, budgets, proposals, schedules, and execution plans for electronic security and integrated technology projects.
- Manage all phases of commercial security projects from award through closeout, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
- Collaborate with clients, consultants, contractors, manufacturers, and internal teams to define project objectives and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
- Develop and maintain relationships with manufacturers, distributors, and technology partners to support estimating efforts, ensure access to preferred product lines, obtain competitive pricing, and stay informed of emerging security technologies and solutions.
- Monitor project financial performance, manage change orders, review costs, and support profitability objectives.
- Oversee installation, testing, commissioning, quality assurance, documentation, and customer turnover activities.
- Lead and coordinate technicians, programmers, engineers, and field personnel while fostering accountability and teamwork.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of project management, project coordination, field leadership, engineering, or installation management experience within the commercial electronic security, low-voltage, or systems integration industry.
- Hands-on experience with commercial access control, video surveillance (CCTV), intrusion detection, intercom, and network-connected security systems.
- Demonstrated ability to manage project schedules, budgets, resources, and customer relationships.
- Working knowledge of construction processes, project documentation, change orders, and coordination with subcontractors and vendors.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and project management platforms.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Information Technology, Criminal Justice, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent industry experience will be considered.
