Johnson Controls International LLC is seeking a skilled technician to install complex integrated security systems including CCTV, access control, digital recorders, and intercom systems for clients. You will cabling, test equipment, read blueprints, and perform end-user training.

The role requires 3+ years in digital/analog camera systems and access control, IP networking knowledge, and the ability to work independently with strong attention to detail.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• 3+ years' experience in Digital & Analogue Camera Systems.
• 3+ years' experience in Access Control Systems.
• Understanding of Alarm Systems function & design.
• Experience with IP addressable security devices (2+ years).
• Must be computer literate with advanced TCP/IP networking skills.
• Must be able to operate a company truck with a good driving record.

Aufgaben

• Install cabling, field equipment, and control enclosures per NEC, company and customer guidelines.
• Troubleshoot using electronic test equipment during installation.
• Read blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specs, and manuals.
• Readjust, repair, or replace inoperative equipment; test operation.
• Perform system checks for proper operation.
• Conduct End-User training.
• Complete necessary paperwork for job assignments.
• Use hand and power tools to mount and secure equipment.
• Feed and terminate cables; drill holes for wiring.

What you will do

This position willbe responsible forthe installation of complex integrated security systems to include the wiring, equipment and programming of access control systems, CCTV, digital recorders, network recorders, and intercom systems for clients.

How you will do it

• Capable of installing cabling, field equipment & control equipment enclosures in customer locations according to the national electric code,companyand customer guidelines.
• Can use electronic test equipment to troubleshoot complicated problems duringinstallation.
• Reads and interprets blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs,schematicsand operational product manuals.
• Readjust equipment, repair or replace inoperative equipment and test for operation
• Performs system checks for proper operation.
• Knowledge of computer programs including word processing,spreadsheetsand databases; CCTV and access control systems; media storage.
• Ability to plan, organize and prioritizeworkpaying close attention to details.
• Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, whileestablishingand maintaining cooperative working relationships.
• Ability to analyze information.
• Can work unsupervised to complete installation jobs and is self-motivated to complete jobs.
• Completes andsubmitsall necessary paperwork related to job assignments.
• Capable of using hand and power tools to properly mount and secure equipment
• Feed cables through access holes, roof spaces, and cavity walls to reach fixture outlets; then position andterminatecables,wiresand strapping
• Drill holes for wiring in wall studs, joists, ceilings, and floors.
• Conduct End- User training.
• Ability to isolate trouble to a customer network, where applicable

What we look for

Required

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Significant background (3+ year experience) in Digital & Analog Camera Systems.
• Significant background (3+ year experience) in Access Control Systems.
• Understanding ofthe function and design of Alarm Systems.
• Experience with IP addressable security devices (2+ years).
• Must be computer literate to include advanced TCP/IP networking skills.
• Must be able tooperatea company truck with an acceptable driving record.

Preferred

• Associate Degreeor 2-year technical school program graduate preferred.
• An industry-recognized apprentice training program may be substituted forthe formaleducationrequirement.
• Specialized training/ certification in the following categories:
• Access Control
• CCTV- Analog
• CCTV- IP
• Visitor Management
• Additionalexperiencea plus: MCSE, CCNA, Surveillance Systems, Intrusion Detection Systems, Perimeter Intrusion Detection Systems and Security Gate Operators.

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $24 - $32 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience,knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with marketdata.)
