Johnson Controls is hiring a Commercial Installer to set up and program Integrated Security fire and security systems on-site for commercial customers. The role includes dismantling and reconstructing equipment as needed and coordinating with authorities for emergency notifications.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, 4+ years in electrical/electronic equipment, and strong customer service skills. On-site work with safety-driven practices is essential.

Formación

• Some technical school training is a plus.
• 4+ years electrical and electronic equipment experience with demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools.
• Ability to operate fleet vehicle safely.
• Ability to communicate and provide excellent customer service.

Responsabilidades

• Installs devices and dismantles/reconstructs equipment as required by customer or Tyco Integrated Security.
• Works safely to prevent injuries and protect property; cleans up debris.
• Contacts customers prior to scheduled installation to verify timing.
• Prepares estimates per supervisor instructions.
• Follows wiring diagrams and hook-up procedures.
• Tests system operation and communicates with the signal-receiving center.
• Reads building, electrical and sprinkler blueprints as required.
• Coordinates with police/fire departments and handles required notification records.
• May manage installation teams on larger projects.
• Coaches and mentors less experienced installers.

What you will do

As a critical part of the team, the Commercial Installer works onsite with our commercial customers to set up and program their Integrated Security fire and security systems. The Commercial Installer also dismantles and reconstructs equipment when necessary.

How you will do it

• Installs appropriate devices; dismantles and reconstructs equipment as required by customer or Tyco Integrated Security.
• Works safely and responsibly to avoid injuries, damage to property, loss of unused materials and cleans up installation debris.
• Contacts customers prior to the date of scheduled installation to verify schedule.
• Prepares estimates in accordance with prescribed instructions or directions of supervisor.
• Follow proper schematic wiring diagrams and hook-up procedures.
• Tests operation of system to the signal-receiving center to properly establish service.
• Reads building, electrical and sprinkler blueprints as required.
• Coordinates installations with police/fire departments and handles necessary records for notification of emergency calls.
• May manage installation teams on larger projects.
• Coach and mentor less experienced installers.

HIRING HOURLY RANGE:

$26.92 - $33.65(Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
