Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a Commercial Installer to install and service integrated fire and security systems on customer sites. You will dismantle and reconstruct equipment as needed and coordinate with customers to ensure timely, safe installations.

The role requires 3–5 years of electrical/electronic experience, ability to read blueprints, and strong customer service skills. An hourly wage range is offered with benefits and growth opportunities within a safety‑driven team.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of electrical/electronic equipment experience with mechanical aptitude.
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specs, programs/schematics, and manuals.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools.
• Ability to obtain and retain licenses as required by codes.

Responsabilités

• Install devices and dismantle/reconstruct equipment as required by the customer or Tyco Integrated Security.
• Work safely to avoid injuries, damage, and debris.
• Contact customers before installation to verify schedule.
• Prepare estimates per supervisor instructions.
• Follow wiring diagrams and hookup procedures.
• Test system operation to establish service with the monitoring center.
• Read building/electrical/sprinkler blueprints as required.
• Coordinate installations with police/fire departments and handle notifications.
• May lead installation teams on larger projects.
• Coach and mentor less experienced installers.

What you will do

As a critical part of the team, the Commercial Installer works onsite with our commercial customers to set up and program their Integrated Security fire and security systems. The Commercial Installer also dismantles and reconstructs equipment when necessary.

How you will do it

• Installs appropriate devices; dismantles and reconstructs equipment as required by customer or Tyco Integrated Security.
• Works safely and responsibly to avoid injuries, damage to property, loss of unused materials and cleans up installation debris.
• Contacts customers prior to the date of scheduled installation to verify schedule.
• Prepares estimates in accordance with prescribed instructions or directions of supervisor.
• Follow proper schematic wiring diagrams and hook‑up procedures.
• Tests operation of system to the signal‑receiving center to properly establish service.
• Reads building, electrical and sprinkler blueprints as required.
• Coordinate installations with police/fire departments and handles necessary records for notification of emergency calls.
• May manage installation teams on larger projects.
• Coach and mentor less experienced installers.

What we look for

Required

• Able to obtain and obtain and retain any licenses that are required by National, State and Local codes.
• Some technical school training is a plus.
• 3-5 years of electrical and electronic equipment experience with demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
• Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, programs schematics and operational/product manuals.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools.
• Ability to operate fleet vehicle in a safe manner at all times.
• Ability to communicate and provide excellent customer service.

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $25-38 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
