Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Lead Security Systems Technician to join the installation team in Gainesville, FL. You will lead on-site security system projects, install and configure enterprise solutions, and supervise project execution with a focus on scope, schedule, and quality.

The role requires at least 3 years of experience with access control, IP-based video surveillance, and intrusion systems, plus a proven ability to manage teams and communicate effectively with clients.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience installing, servicing, and programming commercial access control, IP-based video surveillance, and intrusion systems.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience serving as a project lead or supervising technicians in the field.
• Strong working knowledge of CCTV, access control, IP cameras, intrusion systems, video analytics, visitor management, and IP networking.
• Experience supporting systems through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage projects with minimal supervision.

Lead Security Systems Technician

Overview

We are seeking a motivated Security Systems Technician to join our installation team and deployment of enterprise security solutions. This role is ideal for an experienced technician who can work independently and is eager to continue developing their project skills through additional training and mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead installation teams on commercial security system projects.
• Install, terminate, configure, program, and test enterprise security systems.
• Provide project supervision and ensure work is completed according to scope, schedule, and quality standards.
• Serve as the primary field contact for customers and maintain strong client relationships.
• Manage project tracking and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Perform troubleshooting, service, and diagnostics on security systems.
• Support customer systems through remote troubleshooting and diagnostics.
• Ensure quality control and adherence to company standards.
• Organize and manage workload efficiently across multiple projects.
• Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining accountability for project success.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Gainesville,FL.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
