TEKsystems is seeking a Security Infrastructure Engineer in Plano, TX (Hybrid: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote) to support enterprise firewall and proxy initiatives. The role focuses on firewall administration, proxy management, and network security enhancements within a large, complex environment.

You will implement firewall rules, NATs, object groups and support web filtering technologies while collaborating with security, network, and operations teams.

Qualificações

• 5+ years in Network Security or Infrastructure Engineering.
• Hands-on Fortinet Firewalls administration.
• Experience creating, modifying, and troubleshooting firewall rules, NAT rules and object groups.

Security Infrastructure Engineer (Firewall & Proxy)

Plano, TX (Hybrid: 3 Days Onsite / 2 Days Remote)

18-Month Contract

The client is seeking a Security Infrastructure Engineer with strong experience in enterprise network security, Fortinet firewalls, and web proxy technologies. This role will support large-scale security initiatives focused on firewall administration, proxy management, and network security enhancements within a highly complex enterprise environment.

What You'll Be Doing

• Manage and implement firewall, proxy, and content filtering requests
• Configure and maintain firewall policies, NAT rules, and object groups
• Support proxy technologies, including web content filtering and security policy changes
• Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into secure network solutions
• Execute changes through established change management processes
• Troubleshoot security-related incidents and support service restoration efforts
• Partner with security, network, architecture, and operations teams on implementation and support activities
• Contribute to automation and process improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Network Security, Infrastructure Engineering, or a related field
• Hands-on experience with Fortinet Firewalls
• Experience creating, modifying, and troubleshooting:
  • Firewall Rules
  • NAT Rules
  • Object Groups
• Experience administering enterprise proxy solutions such as:
  • McAfee Web Gateway
  • Blue Coat / ProxySG
  • Similar web filtering technologies
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including:
  • LAN/WAN
  • Routing
  • Switching
• Experience working within Change Management and ITIL-based environments
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with:
  • Check Point Firewalls
  • F5 SSLO
  • Netskope
  • Splunk
  • FireEye
  • Radware/Alteon
• Scripting or automation experience with Python, PowerShell, or Ansible
• Security or networking certifications (Fortinet, Check Point, Cisco, CISSP, CCSP, etc.)
• Experience within highly regulated enterprise environments

Job Type & Location

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80.25 - $80.25/hr.
