Job summary

EnergySolutions, Inc. is seeking a Security Officer to perform routine patrols of facilities, monitor alarms, and enforce access controls. You will conduct searches, operate screening devices, and respond to incidents across restricted areas with adherence to safety protocols.

The role requires intermediate communication skills, the ability to work shifts, and a valid driver’s license. Proficiency with MS Office and CCTV is preferred; training on radiation detection will be provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Intermediate verbal and written communication skills.
• Intermediate knowledge of basic security and fire inspection procedures.
• Intermediate interpersonal skills and team player attitude.
• General knowledge of the use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to pass background investigations.
• Ability to work shifts and overtime on short notice.
• Ability to work under general supervision.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license with a clean record.

Responsibilities

• Patrols grounds, buildings, vehicles and water lines to deter intrusion and monitor alarm systems.
• Conducts random searches of vehicles and personnel for prohibited items and proper authorization.
• Operates screening devices to prevent entry of prohibited articles to restricted areas.
• Monitors security systems and building controls to ensure proper operation.
• Creates work orders for security/safety issues (lighting, locks, fences, badge readers).
• Responds to alarms and investigates disturbances.
• Maintains logs of security activities and incidents.
• escorts or drives motor vehicles for transportation and protection as needed.
