Job summary

EnergySolutions Oak Ridge, TN is seeking a Security Officer to protect people and property. You will patrol facilities, monitor alarms and CCTV, and enforce access controls while responding to incidents with sound judgment.

Candidates should have a High School diploma, pass background checks, and hold or obtain the Tennessee unarmed security license. Shift flexibility and physical readiness are required for this role.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Tennessee Private Protective Services Unarmed Security Guard/Officer license required or to be obtained upon hire.
• Completion of EnergySolutions Qualification Program for Security Officers.
• General Employee Training or General Employee Radiological Training.
• Ability to pass background screening for Trustworthiness and Reliability.

Responsibilities

• Patrols facilities on foot or vehicle to detect hazards, rule violations, or security threats.
• Investigates and reports hazards or disturbances for corrective action.
• Operates security equipment (CCTV, alarms) and manages access at entry points.
• Maintains security logs and writes daily activity reports.
• Responds to alarms and coordinates with emergency services as needed.
• Conducts safety inspections and enforces visitor and employee conduct.
