Careermine is seeking a dependable Security Guard to protect personnel and property across our facilities. You will patrol, monitor access, respond to incidents, and uphold company policies while delivering courteous service.

The role requires attention, calm decision-making during emergencies, basic computer use for reports, and the ability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed to ensure continuous security coverage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license (if required for the assignment).
• Ability to obtain and maintain all required state security licenses or certifications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions during emergencies.
• Basic computer proficiency, including email and report writing.
• Excellent observation and problem-solving skills.
• Previous security, military, law enforcement, or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patrol assigned buildings, grounds, and parking areas to deter theft, vandalism, and unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entrances, exits, surveillance cameras, and alarm systems.
• Control facility access by verifying identification and issuing visitor credentials.
• Respond promptly to emergencies, alarms, disturbances, and security incidents.
• Investigate suspicious activities and document findings through detailed incident reports.
• Provide exceptional customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and vendors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Enforce company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify safety hazards or security concerns.
• Coordinate with local law enforcement, emergency responders, and management when necessary.
• Complete daily activity logs and maintain accurate security documentation.
• Report maintenance, safety, or security issues to appropriate personnel.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
