Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Security Guard for weekend access control in Phoenix, AZ. This part-time role requires patrolling healthcare facilities, monitoring entrances, and providing excellent customer service to staff and visitors.

Pay rate is $17.01 per hour, with two shifts: Saturday and Sunday, 6:00 AM–6:00 PM. The position supports a flexible schedule and opportunities to grow within a dynamic, people-first culture.

Qualifications

• Requires a valid driver’s license.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Guard card/license preferred.
• Alarm panel experience preferred.
• Must be 18+ (unarmed) or 21+ (armed).
• Background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by following security procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of healthcare facility areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies calmly following site protocols.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry; report concerns to leadership.
• Document patrols and incidents accurately per reporting procedures.

As a driving unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide outstanding customer service to patients, visitors, and staff. What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facility areas, including entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter, to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and contacting appropriate personnel as needed.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry when required, and report unauthorized access or policy concerns to site leadership.
• Document patrols, incidents, and observations accurately in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
