Job summary

Allied Universal in Peoria, IL is seeking a Security Officer Customer Service Patrol Driving Role to protect a manufacturing and industrial site, conduct routine patrols, deter incidents, support access control, and deliver exceptional customer service to employees and visitors.

This full-time position requires a valid driver’s license, basic computer or tablet skills, and completion of background checks and a drug screen.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Background investigation will be conducted in accordance with applicable laws.
• A drug screen is required as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access requirements, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor entry procedures, verify credentials as required, and maintain accurate logs of visitors, vehicles, deliveries, and other site activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific escalation and reporting procedures.
• Document observations, patrols, incidents, and maintenance concerns in required reports and promptly communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
