Job summary

Allied Universal in Ashburn, VA is seeking a part-time Unarmed Patrol Security Officer to protect a technology and media location. You will deliver customer service, monitor access, and deter incidents while using a tablet to document activities.

Qualifications

• Background check will be conducted as part of employment.
• Must be able to operate a computer or tablet for documentation.
• Clarity of customer service orientation and compliance with site policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a technology and media location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following established reporting protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures, escalating unusual conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $23.11 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sat 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You’ll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
