Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail property, including common areas, storefront corridors, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, observe site activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Complete accurate incident reports, daily activity reports, and other required documentation while maintaining professional communication with Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

As a Security Guard Unarmed Patrol Driver in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Officer at a dynamic retail and mall location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to guests, tenants, and staff. What You’ll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
