Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed Patrol) in Santa Monica, CA. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, support access control, and provide exceptional customer service in a healthcare-related setting.

Ideal candidates have a guard card/license, CPR certification (preferred), and comfort using a computer or tablet. Flexible weekend shifts are available, with a pay rate of $26.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel at a healthcare-related location by carrying out security-related procedures and policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas.
• Monitor access points and verify visitor and contractor authorization; document activity in daily reports.
• Deter unauthorized activity by maintaining a visible presence and following escalation procedures.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $26.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sun 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel at a healthcare-related location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including entrances, parking areas, perimeter locations, and restricted-access spaces.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and document required activity in daily reports.
• Help to deter unauthorized activity by maintaining a visible presence, observing surroundings, reporting unusual conditions, and following established escalation procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
