Job summary

Allied Universal in Bridgeton, MO is seeking a Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer to safeguard shoppers and staff at a retail location. You will perform routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, and deliver courteous customer service while following site procedures.

The role offers a flexible evening schedule with Tue–Sat 6:30 PM – 12:30 AM. A valid driver’s license, a high school diploma, and a background check are required; driving positions require a license.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required per Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background investigation in accordance with laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories.
• Subject to a drug screen as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws and may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to shoppers, visitors, and store personnel while following site procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot/vehicle patrols throughout the retail location including sales areas, entrances, parking, loading zones, and perimeter.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, policy violations, hazards, and security concerns to store contacts or supervision.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner.
• Assist with access control, traffic and pedestrian flow, and incident documentation as directed by site procedures.

• Sat – 06:30 PM - 12:30 AM

What You’ll Do:

• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter.

• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Assist with access control, traffic and pedestrian flow, and incident documentation as directed by site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
