Job summary

Allied Universal® in Whittier, CA is seeking a Part-Time Security Guard Unarmed Mobile Patrol Driver. You will provide customer service, perform vehicle and foot patrols, and maintain a visible security presence to deter incidents.

The role requires at least one year of security experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to pass background and drug screenings. Shift times are Sat/Sun 2:00 PM–10:30 PM, with pay at $22.03 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, families, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies in a calm, professional manner and coordinate with site contacts and emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of grounds, buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas.
• Direct visitors and vehicles during services, events, and high-traffic periods with a professional presence.
• Document observations and patrol activity according to Allied Universal procedures.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $22.03 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat - 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM
• Sun - 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, families, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a memorial park location.
• Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while communicating with appropriate site contacts and emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of grounds, buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
• Assist with directing visitors and vehicles during services, events, and periods of increased attendance while maintaining a respectful and professional presence.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
