Allied Universal is hiring an Unarmed Patrol Officer to support a healthcare location in Garfield Heights, OH. This role focuses on visible presence, patient and staff service, and incident response within a hospital setting.

As a Part-Time Security Officer, you will patrol, monitor access points, assist visitors, and complete clear, accurate reports while upholding a caring culture that prioritizes people first. Schedule includes Saturdays and Sundays 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screen may be required by law.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Licensing requirements may apply depending on state.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors while following security procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents and notify appropriate personnel per site procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of healthcare facilities and parking areas.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction and wayfinding.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations to leadership.

You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide welcoming customer service to patients, visitors, and staff. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $16.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 06:30 AM - 02:30 PM
• Sun: 06:30 AM - 02:30 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, patient or visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare facilities, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction, wayfinding, and compliance with site access procedures while maintaining a professional presence.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and security-related concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
