Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Guard (Unarmed) for Afternoons in Pooler, GA. This role focuses on protecting clients across logistics and distribution sites, with a flexible shift approach and a Shift-claim platform for scheduling.

Responsibilities include screening individuals and packages, monitoring access, and reporting security concerns. Minimum 6 months of security experience, high school diploma, and CPR certification are preferred; a guard card/license is optional.

Qualifications

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background checks and drug screening as required by law.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/local laws; driver’s license for driving positions only.

As a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help maintain a secure environment by screening individuals and/or items, monitoring access points, and reporting security-related concerns. Your visible presence, professional communication, and customer service will help deter incidents while supporting daily operations. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, packages, and/or vehicles in accordance with site procedures and access requirements.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and shipping-related documentation, and report unauthorized access or unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of loading areas, docks, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
