Allied Universal is seeking a Security Guard Unarmed in Columbia, SC to protect clients across industries. You will conduct routine patrols, monitor entrances, and provide excellent customer service while maintaining a visible security presence.

This role requires a valid driver’s license and at least two years of security experience; you must be 18 or older and pass background and drug tests. The schedule is full-time with evening shifts. Opportunities for training and advancement are offered.

Job Description

As a Security Guard Unarmed in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a financial institution location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy. Bring your communication skills and commitment to integrity to a caring, reliable team.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors at a financial services location while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter access points, reporting unusual conditions or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, helping to deter unauthorized entry and maintaining accurate documentation as required.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response protocols and contacting appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, and other security-related activities; communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
