Job Description

As a Security Guard - Telecom Site - Weekends in Palo Alto, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more .

As an unarmed patrol officer in a tech and media environment, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a visible presence. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, providing excellent customer service, and communicating clearly with staff and visitors. You will contribute to a positive environment by acting with integrity, working collaboratively with your team, and adapting to the dynamic needs of the location. Your role is essential in supporting a culture that values people and innovation.

Pay Rate: $25.95 / Hour

Sat 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

Sun 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, responding to emergency situations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, helping to deter unwanted activity in a tech, media, or telecom location.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or potential hazards encountered during patrols.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and other personnel as needed.
• Follow all post orders and instructions provided for the assigned location.
  
  

Minimum Requirements

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is preferred.
• A valid Guard Card or license is preferred.
• California Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
