Lakeshore Learning Materials, LLC is seeking a Security Guard to join our team to promote the safety of employees, assets and property. You will manage entry control, monitor CCTV, and assist with safety audits and investigations across our facilities.

The role involves documenting truck traffic, verifying visitors, conducting patrols, and responding to emergencies while upholding OSHA standards and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• CPR and OSHA certifications are preferred.
• BSIS guard card or prior possession is preferred.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and maintain confidentiality.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and ability to conduct safety audits.

Responsibilities

• Document truck traffic in Yard Management System for proper check‑in of deliveries and departures.
• Verify visitors through established visitor check‑in and ID procedures.
• Conduct safety audits, assist with safety training and monitor CCTV for incidents.
• Document safety violations and incidents using incident reporting software.
• Perform routine patrols and monitor grounds, report suspicious activity, ensure safety of employees, visitors and property.
• Respond promptly to emergencies or incidents and escalate as needed.
