Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Guard in Joliet, IL to safeguard clients across industries. You will perform safety procedures, follow site policies, and respond to incidents with calm problem-solving.

Responsibilities include patrolling client sites, monitoring for security threats, and enforcing rules while delivering excellent customer service. Minimum requirements include 18+ (21+ for armed), a HS diploma or 5 years of experience, and pass background and drug screening.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience
• Background check and drug screen required
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies and emergency response activities
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem solving manner
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter; working environments vary by client site
