Job summary

Pleasant View Skilled Nursing Community in Ottawa, IL is hiring a Security Guard to keep our overnight campus safe, respond to emergencies, and handle nightly facility upkeep during the shift. Starting pay is $18.25 per hour with credit for relevant experience.

This PRN position runs 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM, and team members build positive relationships with residents, visitors, and colleagues while maintaining security and cleanliness.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Able to speak, read, and write legibly in English.
• Able to perform physical tasks including mopping, operating floor equipment, and lifting and moving trash.

Responsibilities

• Monitor building security systems and conduct regular rounds of the interior and exterior of the campus.
• Respond immediately to 911 calls, direct emergency personnel, and manage crowd control during incidents.
• Investigate and document incidents such as theft, criminal activity, or threatening behavior, and keep accurate logs and reports.
• Handle nightly environmental services tasks, including mopping, operating floor machines, and emptying trash.
• Complete basic maintenance tasks as assigned.
• Build positive relationships with residents, visitors, and team members through a professional, welcoming presence.

What You'll Do
